The armored person cannot express himself with immediacy because his natural impulses are distorted, fragmented, inhibited, and transformed in the tangled net of his character structure. The armored person perceives himself and the world as complicated because he has no immediate contact, no straightforward relationship to the world around him. The secondary result is that over the years this world becomes actually complicated. We seem to be approaching a theory as to the construction of ether. Hertz has produced vibrations, vibrating more than one hundred million times per second. He made use of the principle of resonance. You all understand how, by a succession of well-timed small impulses, a large vibration may be set up.

One of the most arduous problems is that of energies acting at distances. Are they real? Of all those that appear incontrollable, one only remains, gravitation. Will it escape us also?

An infinitely subtle substance, out of which all other substances are constituted, in varying forms, passes back again into simplicity. The same principle underlies the harmonies of music and the motion of heavenly bodies.

The universe might very appropriately be likened to a harp of nine strings, with nine tones in each string. In our diagram the strings are all indicated as of the same length for simplicity. In nature the lower string is the longest. They grow gradually shorter up to the 9th. Likewise, the tonal positions and frequencies change in each string. In every case each note on each string is one octave higher than its next lower string. You will note that each string begins with a zero and ends with a zero. These are the key notes of each octave. They are the cathodes of every electric anode.

We must understand that all bodies beyond carbon are dying bodies and that living bodies cannot live by consuming dead ones. There is a point of decay in all bodies, whether they are carrots, meat, fruit, oxygen or nitrogen. You do not have to be convinced that you cannot live if you consume decaying bodies of vegetables or animals which are composed of nitrogen, oxygen and carbon. Why should it be necessary to convince you that you cannot live if you consume decaying oxygen, nitrogen or carbon in their natural forms? Decay and radioactivity are one, except that radioactivity is fast decay.

Robert Mayer, Isaac Newton and others devoid of intuition -- therefore nature-alienated lawmakers -- have seriously erred (exact proof of this exists) inasmuch as in an eternally changing Nature there are actually no rigid laws, no dogmas or absolutes, but *only a rhythmical interplay* of energies, which determine the fate of all existence (*). This is because the products of this interplay, already in an *atomic* state, have an in-built capacity to react, and are therefore products of *bio-logical development*.

In a forest there is no waste. One organism's waste becomes another organism's food or sustenance. Nature runs on sunlight, nature recycles everything. Nature thrives on cooperation. Nature rewards cooperation. I'm quite convinced that the nature's the real thing and every -- all of the systems that we designed and have built over the last 290 years in the industrial age... It's really an artifice. Nature's the real thing and when we pattern what we're doing to look more like nature we will have the system that can live in harmony with nature.

What usually happens in the educational process is that the faculties are dulled, overloaded, stuffed and paralyzed so that by the time most people are mature they have lost their innate capabilities.

We are not going to be able to operate our Spaceship Earth successfully nor for much longer unless we see it as a whole spaceship and our fate as common. It has to be everybody or nobody.

We are called to be architects of the future, not its victims.

Pollution is nothing but the resources we are not harvesting. We allow them to disperse because we've been ignorant of their value.

If we use fuel to get our power we are living on our capital - this method is barbarous.

In our dynamo machines, it is well known, we generate alternate currents which we direct by means of a commutator, a complicated device and, it may be justly said, the source of most of the troubles experienced in the operation of the machines. Now, the currents, so directed cannot be utilized in the motor, but must - again by means of a similar unreliable device - be reconverted into their original state of alternate currents. The function of the commutator is entirely external, and in no way does it affect the internal workings of the machines.

We are confronted with portentous problems which can not be solved just by providing for our material existence, however abundantly. On the contrary, progress in this direction is fraught with hazards and perils not less menacing than those born from want and suffering. If we were to release the energy of the atoms or discover some other way of developing cheap and unlimited power at any point of the globe this accomplishment, instead of being a blessing, might bring disaster to mankind...

Every particle of matter is composed of a primary substance-- the ether--filling all space. The atom of any elementary body is differentiated from the rest of this tenuous substance merely by a spinning motion like a whirl in a calm lake.

You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change things, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.

There manifests itself in the fully developed being, Man, a desire mysterious, inscrutable and irresistible: to imitate nature, to create, to work himself the wonders he perceives.... Long ago he recognized that all perceptible matter comes from a primary substance, or tenuity beyond conception, filling all space, the Akasha or luminiferous ether, which is acted upon by the life giving Prana or creative force, calling into existence, in never ending cycles all things and phenomena.
